Sunnyland Mills achieves a 97% SQF Food Safety Audit in 2021

Sunnyland Mills just received a 97% on the annual Safe Quality Food Audit (SQF). This is a very important food safety audit that is known and respected nationwide in the food industry. We are very proud to have achieved this score and to share it with you. Our Sunnyland employees worked diligently all year as a dedicated team in all food safety categories that were examined by the third party SQF Auditor. “This is not an easy two-day audit and is especially challenging for new employees to grasp”, stated Dexter Wong, Food Safety Auditor of Fosaeco LLC. The food safety audit emphasizes hands on food safety criteria, “what if” scenarios and daily documentation. “Having only 3 minor infractions is an accomplishment, is highly regarded in the industry as a nearly perfect score and should be viewed as an example or model of what food plants should look like and strive towards”.
