Labsi (East Indian Dessert)

  • 1 cup #2 medium or #3 coarse Bulgur Wheat
  • 3 cups water
  • 5 tsp. pure butter ghee
  • powdered cardamom spice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • chopped almonds and pistachios
  1. Sauté bulgur wheat in butter ghee for about 5 minutes. In a separate pan heat sugar and water to boiling, add boiling sugar water mix to bulgur wheat and cook on low for 25 minutes until all water is absorbed. Mix in a small amount of cardamom powder and sprinkle with chopped nuts and serve.
