Labsi (East Indian Dessert)
- 1 cup #2 medium or #3 coarse Bulgur Wheat
- 3 cups water
- 5 tsp. pure butter ghee
- powdered cardamom spice
- 1 cup sugar
- chopped almonds and pistachios
- Sauté bulgur wheat in butter ghee for about 5 minutes. In a separate pan heat sugar and water to boiling, add boiling sugar water mix to bulgur wheat and cook on low for 25 minutes until all water is absorbed. Mix in a small amount of cardamom powder and sprinkle with chopped nuts and serve.
