Italian Whole Wheat Pilaf

  • 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. dehydrated or chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1 cup Pearled Wheat
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp. fine grated parmesan cheese
  1. An excellent compliment to shish kebab, steaks, roasts, poultry, veal and Italian entrees. Mix all ingredients except olive oil and parmesan in deep microwaveable casserole dish. Microwave 20 minutes on medium power. Then 5 minutes more on high power until wheat is fully cooked but not mushy. Add olive oil and parmesan cheese. Mix well.
