Holiday Pilaf with Bulgur

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 small small onion (chopped)
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp. minced dill
  • 1 tbsp. pine nuts
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. raisins
  • 1/2 tsp. tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp. all spice
  • 1 cup #2 medium or #3 coarse bulgur
  1. Melt the butter. Add onion and sauté about 10 minutes. Add chicken broth, nuts, raisins, and seasonings and bring to a boil. Add bulgur; cover and bring to a boil again. Lower heat and cool until liquid is absorbed.
