Hearty Bulgur Pilaf Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup sliced green onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 3/4 cup #3 coarse bulgur wheat
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 16 oz. can tomatoes cut up
- 1 lb. zucchini 1/4 in. slices
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
- dash bottled hot pepper sauce
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In large skillet cook beef, onion, green pepper, bulgur wheat and garlic until meat is browned and onion and pepper are tender. Drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes, zucchini, Worcestershire, 1 1/4 tsp. salt, oregano, sugar, and pepper sauce. Turn into 2 qt. casserole. Bake, uncovered, in 350° oven for 45 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top.
