A Plant-Based Diet can slash the risk of dying from heart disease according to a recent study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association. The study followed 10,000 middle-aged people for almost 30 years.
Lead researcher Casey M. Rebholz, PhD, assistant professor of epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health states, “people should eat more vegetables, nuts, whole grains, fruits, legumes, and fewer animal-based foods.”
The news is everywhere we turn lately. Eating more plants, and eating fewer animal products, is good for your health. More and more studies suggest filling your diet with fresh fruits and vegetables, and whole grains. Bulgur is an excellent source of whole gains, easy to cook, and extremely versatile with different sauces and flavors. You can buy bulgur here on Amazon.
