Bulgur Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. turkey breakfast sausage
  • 3/4 cup golden raisins
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 1/2 cup #3 coarse bulgur
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 2 1/2 cups turkey broth
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  • In large, non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, saut√© sausage, onion and celery 10 to 12 minutes or until sausage is not longer pink and vegetables are tender. Reduce heat to medium, stir in bulgur and cook 5 minutes to brown. Add broth, raisins, walnuts, thyme, sage and pepper; bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed.
